What makes us Different?
Why should you choose Aurora Community Care as your care agency in Worthing, Goring-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Lancing, Steyning and Storrington?
A 14 day trial and then only 7 days notice
We are confident that our home help is the best in Worthing and the surrounding areas. We acknowledge that many people are anxious about receiving care and we want you have the opportunity to try care without too much commitment. If you choose us to provide care then for the first 14 days (from the first visit) you can stop our services with no notice and only pay for the care you have received. After that we only ever require 7 days notice to stop care. Many care providers require 28 days notice but here at Aurora Community Care we acknowledge that older peoples' situations can change very quickly.
Companions Matched to You
We are not a traditional Care Agency. Each of us is unique. We have different hobbies and different values. When we visit for a free consultation we take time to find out about you, not just your care at home needs. We match you with a companion that you enjoy spending time with and make sure they visit as often as possible. If we introduce you to someone that you do not want to visit we will find someone else. We are certain you will find someone you love to spend time with.
No Uniform
At Aurora we feel that uniforms create barriers. If you are out and about with one of our companions then, apart from an ID badge, it will not be obvious that you are working with a care agency. Even in the home, providing personal care, we feel that being helped by someone in comfortable everyday clothing will make the experience much warmer. Personal care is not something anybody would wish to have. At Aurora Community Care we will do everything we can to ensure it is as good as it can be. Of course, our Care Givers, are always wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure the best possible safety and hygiene.
Care Givers are always introduced
We are always very cautious about inviting people into our home. Especially when they are here to help us with tasks that we would much rather be doing ourselves. At Aurora Community Care we keep the number of different Care Givers visiting you to a minimum, but when someone new joins your support team we will always introduce them before hand.
Free Family Portal. Keep track of the care of your loved ones and be reassured.
Our care at home is backed up with industry leading technology. Care Givers have access to care plans, checklists and Medication records to ensure that everything is completed exactly in accordance with the client's wishes. Additionally Care Givers will write detailed notes on each visit including details around the client's general well being. If the client consents then we can give access to the loved ones to the "Family Portal" enabling loved ones to view care notes and ensure tasks have been completed and medication given. Technology does not replace the skill and passion of a Care Giver, but it does enable them to deliver safe person-centred care.
How do I arrange Care at Home?
1. Fill in the form below or better still give us a call on 01903 495456 to tell us about your situation and how it is effecting you. We will offer any advice we can straight away.
2. Book in a FREE no obligation care consultation. We will come out, at a time convenient, and meet you all to get to know you properly. We will understand your objectives and talk about how we can support you to achieve those. We will share a thorough risk assessment of your home to offer guidance on how to be as safe as you can be at home.
3. We will write a comprehensive care plan detailing where you need support and how we will help you to achieve those objectives.
4. We will introduce you to your Care Giver and after your first couple of visits be in touch to find out how it went. After that we will be in touch regularly to keep our care plan up to date and address any issues you may have and we will be available to you any time if you need to contact us.
All of this can be put in place quickly and safely. For the first 14 days, from the first day of care, there is no notice period. You can try home care with Aurora with no commitment for those two weeks and just pay for the care you receive. After that we only require 7 days notice to end the agreement.
