No. We’re more interested in finding kind, dependable people with the right values. Aurora provides paid training to help new Care Givers develop the skills and confidence they need.
What is the basic rate of pay?
Care Giver roles currently have a basic hourly rate of £14-£15. Individual vacancies will show the exact rate and any role-specific details.
Is training paid?
Yes. Aurora provides paid training, including online learning and in-person training, so you can develop the practical skills needed for the role.
Is travel time between visits paid?
Yes. Travel time between care visits is paid.
Can the work fit around my other commitments?
Aurora offers flexible contracts and working patterns designed around Care Givers’ availability. Each vacancy will explain the hours and shift patterns available.
Where are Aurora’s care jobs based?
Our care jobs are based around Worthing and the West Sussex communities served by Aurora Community Care. Individual vacancies will show the specific working area.
What does a Care Assistant role involve?
Our Care Givers support people to remain independent in their own homes. Depending on the person and the role, this can include companionship, personal care, preparing meals, helping around the home and supporting everyday routines.
