Your working day

You’ll support different clients according to their individual care plans. The work is practical and personal, with each visit shaped around the person rather than a generic checklist.

Preparing meals and drinks, offering companionship and conversation, and providing calm reassurance.

Noticing changes, recording relevant information and raising concerns with Aurora’s local team.

Your working day takes you to the people who need you.
Aurora provides care in people’s own homes across Worthing, Lancing and Shoreham. As a full-time Care Giver, you may support several different people and travel between their homes during your working day.
Work-related mileage is paid.
No previous care experience?

Professional care experience is not required. Aurora provides paid online and in-person training, practical preparation and ongoing support.

No. Previous professional care experience is not required. Aurora provides paid online and in-person training to help new Care Givers develop their skills and confidence.
What type of care will I provide?
Support varies according to each client and their care plan. It can include personal care, medication support, meals, mobility support, companionship, dementia care, getting up and going to bed, practical help and supporting independence and wellbeing.
Will I work independently?
Much of community care is one-to-one support in clients’ homes, so you need to feel comfortable working independently. You remain part of Aurora’s local team and support is available when needed.
