Jodi Johnson. The Registered Manager at Aurora Community Home Care in Worthing

Jodi Johnson – Registered Manager

Jodi is very passionate when it comes to her role as a care manager and wants to continue to provide the best care.
Away from the office she likes to spend time with her family and 2 children, in her spare time she likes to read, up cycle old furniture, painting and decorating

Mike the Owner of Aurora Community Care in Worthing and his Mum, Ann, a non executive director

Mike Jeffries – Director

Mike previously owned a company providing care at home in Worthing. After a few years’ break he missed providing support in the community and missed being in Worthing! In his spare time he enjoys walking, travel and being home with his two cats Felix and Oscar.

Ann Non Executive Director of Aurora Community Home Care

Ann – Director

Ann is Director Mike’s Mum. One of the key goals that home care providers strive for is to pass “the Mum Test”. To deliver the kind of care we would want for our own parents. Here at Aurora Community Care in Worthing we decided the best way to ensure that our care was the kind we would want for our Mum was to involve her in the business!

Although retired now Ann had long careers as a Nurse and Social Worker in West Sussex and is active providing social support to older people in the community.

At Aurora Community Care, our values guide everything we do: compassion, reliability, and respect. We believe great care goes beyond tasks—it’s about building trust, listening with patience, and treating each person as an individual with their own story. What makes us truly special is the balance we strike between professional excellence and genuine human connection. Our carers are carefully chosen not only for their skills, but for their warmth and kindness. Families often tell us that our team feels less like a service and more like an extension of their family. That personal touch, combined with our local knowledge and CQC-regulated standards, ensures that every client feels safe, supported, and valued in their own home.

Aurora isn’t just a great place to receive homecare—it’s also a fantastic place to work. We look after our team the same way we expect them to look after our clients: with respect, encouragement, and support to grow. Whether you’re brand new to care or already experienced, you’ll find training, flexible hours, and a culture where your contribution is recognised and celebrated. Our carers often say it’s the little things—like being listened to, having supportive colleagues, and knowing they make a difference—that make their job so rewarding. If you’d like to join a company that truly values people, we’d love to hear from you. Click through to our Jobs Page and take the first step towards a career that’s both meaningful and fulfilling.
